Brown & Mitchell, Inc. (BMI), in association with Simpkins & Costelli, Inc., Canon Engineering, Shaw Walker & Associates, and Neel-Schaffer, was selected by the Harrison County Wastewater & Solid Waste Management District to provide engineering, architectural, and contract administration and observation services for the Gulfport North Wastewater Treatment Facility project.
This work consisted of providing civil design, project design coordination, and construction management services for a new 5.5-million gallon per day wastewater treatment facility, which included an Operations Building, including a laboratory; Sludge Processing Building, including sludge processing equipment, emergency generator, and warehouse; Headworks with screening and grit removal; Oxidation Ditches; Secondary Clarifiers; Effluent Filters; Ultraviolet Disinfection; Reaeration Chamber; Digesters; Mechanical and Electrical Equipment; and Controls and Metering System.
