Brown & Mitchell, Inc. (BMI) was selected by Prime Retail, Inc., to provide professional engineering and surveying services for the Prime Outlets retail development in Gulfport, Mississippi.
The project consisted of the design of all civil facilities outside the buildings, including parking areas, utilities, roads, and a specialized drainage system. Coordination and permitting for environmental requirements were also accomplished by BMI.
Off-site improvements funded by the City of Gulfport and designed by BMI included the following:
Extension of Creosote Road as a 4/5-lane boulevard
Installation of 2,300-gallon per minute well and water main extension
Installation of sewer pump station
Project costs total approximately $35 million. BMI continues to coordinate the environmental monitoring for Prime Outlets.
