Brown & Mitchell, Inc. (BMI) was selected by Grand Casinos, Inc., to provide civil engineering, environmental, and surveying services for the Grand Bear 1,700-acre golf course and resort development. The Grand Bear Golf Course and Resort was developed in phases over several years and consisted of an 18-hole golf course, clubhouse, maintenance facility, and driving range. This Jack Nicklaus designed course and associated resort facilities serve as a major component of Grand Casinos’ land-based developments in Mississippi.
Scope of services included:
- Evaluation of Existing Conditions in or Adjacent to the Property, as well as Wetlands, Endangered Species, and Environmental Impacts
- Coordination with Mann & Associates for Cultural Resource Survey
- Preparation of Base Maps from Most Recent Aerial Photography, as well as Representative Cross-Section
- Performance of a Topographic Survey
- Preparation of Access Routing Studies and Stormwater Management Plan
- Development of Preliminary and Final Cost Estimates
