Brown & Mitchell, Inc. (BMI) was selected by the City of Gulfport to provide professional engineering services for the Airport Road Improvements and Lighting Projects.

The road improvements portion of the project consisted of the design for reconstruction of the existing roadway base from the airport terminal entrance north to U.S. Highway 49 using the methods of in-place reclamation and base course stabilization.  The entire length of the existing roadway was overlayed from U.S. Highway 49 south to Washington Avenue.

The road lighting portion of the project consisted of the installation of 53 electrical light poles along Airport Road from U.S. Highway 49 to the terminal drives of Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.  Installation includes all electrical wiring, coordination with the local utility company, and installation of electrical poles and luminaries.
